About Us
Shahiem Dalvie
Shahiem is a Director and Technical Planner, who joined the practice in 2002 and became a director in 2015. He has over 23 years of planning experience focussing mainly on the technical planning and procedural aspects of the projects in the NM & Associates office. His specific expertise is in facilitating Package of Plans processes with project durations typically running over a number of years. He has worked on a number of large residential and mixed use developments and has extensive experience in the airport related planning field having worked on Cape Town International Airport, George Airport, East London Airport, Port Elizabeth International Airport and Bram Fischer International Airport. His attention to detail and knowledge of regulatory procedures makes him invaluable in more complex planning projects.
He is proficient in the use of AutoCAD and GIS in the preparation of projects as well as for data mapping and analysis purposes. Shahiem also manages the IT related aspects of the practice.

- Bardale Village Residential and Mixed-Use Development – Rezoning & Subdivision Phases 1 & 2 (previously Silversands Integrated Housing Development); Phases 3-8 Development Framework Amendment and Rezoning; and Phases 3 and 7 Subdivision Applications
- Cape Town International Airport – providing support to ACSA to enable and facilitate its property management and airside (realigned runway, car rental) and landside developments (light industrial, warehouse, freight, office, hotel, conference facility through Land Use Planning (Development Framework, Precinct Planning, Rezoning, Subdivision, Consolidation, Consent Use and SDP applications) and town planning input to the Masterplan
- Cape Town Film Studios (previously Dreamworld Film Studios) Mixed Use Development – Development Framework, Rezoning, Consent Use, Subdivisions and SDP applications to establish the film studio mixed use development.
- George Airport – Precinct plan and Rezoning for Hotel and Service Station developments
- Mfuleni Bardale Housing – Phases 1- 4 and Phases 5a & 5b Township Establishment Applications for over 5000 residential erven

- 2000: National Diploma in Town & Regional Planning, Cape Technikon
- 1997: Bachelor of Science in Environmental & Geographical Science, University of Cape Town
